Coleman Exponent Fastback Kayak

Tried my Coleman Fastback for the first time, actually it was my first time on a kayak. The kayak sets up quick and the valves are tough and easy to use. This kayak has tons of storage room and d rings running the entire length. There are pockets on either side of the rear storage compartment that have a hydration system included. There are more pockets including a water-proof one over your legs. 30 gauge PVC seems pretty tough and the bladder is covered by an outer shell with skeg and runners attached, cover fits loose. It was easy to get into and launch, got one foot a little wet getting in, took my fishing gear and I was off. It felt a little unstable at first but I quickly became comfortable with it. The fishing rod easily sat between my legs and off the front of the boat. I leashed my rod and paddle to be safe. The yak tracked pretty well, obviously better in calm waters. I was able to easily move against the wind in the main channel. The backrest in this thing will make you want to take a nap and the splash cover is effective. There are adjustable footrests inside. Overall I was happy with it although I am nervous about branches and rocks. I hope it holds up since this boat is easy to set up and take down, holds lots of gear and has plenty of room for $260. I am 6ft 200lbs. Fingers crossed, hope it holds up to Potomac Smallie fishing!
