The "Tuck" in North Carolina...a great beginner whitewater inflatable kayak trip.

Duck the Tuck
I'll get this started. We outfit rafts and inflatable kayaks on the Tuckaseigee and Nantahala Rivers in western North Carolina. More on the Nantahala River later.
The Tuckaseigee is a great river for a beginner whitewater inflatable kayak trip. The rapids are Class 1 & 2 (3 in high water). The water is relatively warm. At most water levels, there is a calm pool below the rapids. Trip length is about three hours.
These combine to make it a great inflatable kayak trip. It's fun and forgiving. We take lots of families with younger kids on our trips. But the Tuck is a great inflatable kayak trip for most any group or age.
The inflatable kayaks we use are Aire Lynx and Tomcats, Custom Inflatable ThrillKats, Hysides, and NRS Bandits. We use both one and two person inflatable kayaks.
